November 1, 2012 Parents please vote yes on Question #14 on Election Day! Saying yes to Question 14 will allow for much needed health and safety upgrades for our schools. If Question #14 passes Curvin McCabe will get an upgraded fire alarm system! Thank you in advance for your continual support of the schools! Please make every effort to make sure your child is in school, on time, each day. School starts at 8:30am. When your child is absent one day they miss 330minutes of instruction! Two days is 660minutes of instruction. This is very valuable learning time and it can be difficult for a child to make up these lost minutes of instruction. Children should be kept home from school if they have a fever, are actively vomiting or at the advice of a doctor. Please send in medical notes to excuse the absence. I feel very strongly that it takes a hard working team to ensure each and every student succeeds here at Curvin McCabe. You as the parents are a huge part of that team and we as teachers recognize the importance of a home school connection. We make our best efforts to communicate with parents in person, via phone, paper notices and emails. We also hold students accountable for their part of the hard work.
