April 1, 2010, is Difference Makers a Day! On this day we ask that every student, teacher, and school employee resolve to do at least one act of kindness along with telling one individual how he/she made a difference in their lives.

The next round of kindergarten registrations is scheduled for May 3 - 7 from 9:15 AM - 11:15 AM at each elementary school.  Stay tuned for more informaton.

Pawtucket School's technology programs receives mention in Tech & Learning Magazine article The Quest for Portability.

Secondary Teachers - a training video is available detailing the significant enhancements to the MMS Teacher Grade Book. This new version will be installed the week after the term closes. If you use Grade Book you should look at this 30 minute video. If you thought Grade Book was too cumbersome, you should take another look. Skip the first 4 minutes as they cover administrative setup. Now playable on Tolman, Shea, Jenks, Slater, and Goff classroom thin clients. If your home computer requires a Codec to play the video you can download it here. We think you will be impressed with the improvements.


Curtis Elementary completed its second Jump Rope For Heart event. Students in grades 2 through 6 (as part of its Physical Education program) raised a total of $3,408.00 for the American Heart Association.Curtis students have now raised nearly $8,000 for the Heart Association in the past 2 years. Congratulations to the students of Agnes Little School. Each year they participate in the Jump Rope for Heart Event. This year they were able to raise $1,953.00 for the American Heart Association. [3/5]

Third Annual Shea Idol is back! On March 25, 2010, come to Shea High School where the 3rd Shea Idol will be named! The show starts at 6:00PM and tickets are $5.00 in advance or $7.00 at the door. For tickets contact Rick Pimentel or Sue Erno at 729-6464 or pimentelr@psdri.net .

Congratulations to the JMW Debate Team for their accomplishments at the State Debate Championship held February 27, 2010. Noelle, a junior music major, ranked 3rd in the state and our Novice Team scored 8th out of 35 teams! Congratulations also to Lureena, Alison, and Arnold, theatre, who each placed in the top twenty out of 79 debaters! Great job! [3/5]

Shea High School is proud to host the fabulous Chinese Acrobats on Tuesday, 3/23 at 6:45. This event is for the entire family and costs only $2.00 at the door. All are invited!
