The employees who work at the Administration Building held a Dress Down Day for Haiti relief on Friday, January 29, 2010. We raised $310.00 for the American Red Cross RI Chapter. Thanks for everyone's generous contributions. [2/2]

Kindergarten registration for the 2010 - 2011 school year will take place in each elementary school from 9:15 - 11:15 AM, March 1st through March 5th. To be eligible to register for kindergarten, children MUST turn 5 years old on or before September 1, 2010 (no exceptions). Please present; child's birth certificate, updated immunization record, parent picture ID, three (3) proofs of residency. Children who presently attend a private kindergarten and will attend Pawtucket schools for grade one in September, 2010 may register at this time. Congratulations to Marc T., a senior theatre major at JMW who is the Rhode Island representative in the National Shakespeare Competition in New York City on April 26, 2010. He will be performing on stage at the Lincoln Center. Marc competed in the state finals along with eighteen other students from around the state and placed 1st! Best of luck in New York. [2/8]

Potter-Burns School raised $675.75 for the people in Haiti. Special thanks to Mrs. Banigan and her second grade class who coordinated this effort last week. The donations were sent to the Red Cross. [2/2]

"Hats for Haiti": Winters Elementary School Children were allowed to wear their favorite hat if they donated $1.00. As a school community we raised $571.00. Even in these tough economic times our families still managed to find it in their hearts to reach out to others. Our contributions are being sent to the American Red Cross Haiti relief fund. [1/30]

Attention all Tolman Juniors. Junior Prom is coming fast! When? March 12, 2010. Where ? Johnson & Wales Inn, Seekonk, MA Tickets will be on sale every Tuesday and Thursday in Rm. 204 after school (Mrs. Blanchette's room) . You MUST have your signed permission slip and money. Last day to buy tickets is February 12th, NO EXCEPTIONS! Price: $40 for one, 2 for $75. Join us for a fun night!

PARENT’S DAY AT SHEA HIGH SCHOOL: WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 10TH Attention all Shea and Slater parents: Please see below and plan to attend one or all of the following parent and family outreach events at Shea High School on Wednesday, February 10th.

  • 8:30 a.m. in the Shea cafeteria- Breakfast with the Principal. Learn about the programs available at Shea from our guidance staff and other groups. Open to all Slater and Shea families – refreshments will be served.
  • 1:45-3:05 – Parent Teacher Conferences. Plan to attend our Term 2 Parent/Teacher Conferences. We look forward to seeing you there.
  • 6:00 p.m. in the Shea auditorium-Step Up Night! Learn about the programs available at Shea from our guidance staff and other groups. Open to all Slater and Shea families- refreshments will be served.
